Punching and pressing

The components we manufacture are based on forming technology, which allows us to produce installable parts or components for our assembly production. At HMT, we use servo-motor-driven punching and forming machines with a performance of up to 630 t (Poland) or 1,000 t (Germany) and table sizes of up to 4,500 mm x 2,200 mm.  We use both transfer tools and progressive tools to produce our components. If the number of parts is sufficient, we integrate thread forming and feeds directly into the tools. This also applies to toxing. Envelope curve monitoring is used to check the forming process. For small series, we use hydraulic presses with a reduced tool investment without compromising on final quality.

Without modern punching and pressing technology, the production of small assembly components and body panels for the automotive industry would be an impossible feat. HMT uses various steels and heat-treatable wrought aluminium alloys for metal forming. Thanks to our machine pool, we are able to process coil widths of up to 1,200 mm and strip thicknesses of up to 8 mm during forming.
