APPLICATIONS OF HMT PRODUCTS
You can find HMT products in lots of vehicle assemblies. These include "traditional" segments such as the body/shell, chassis/undercarriage, engine, gearbox, and interior. Thanks to the development of e-vehicles, which have a higher component demand than traditional vehicles, our portfolio has expanded significantly recently. For example, we now supply more products for VW's e-Golf than for Golf models with a combustion engine. However, in addition to our primary field of activity for the automotive industry, we are also now producing more parts for the electrotechnology, solar, and housing technology consumer divisions.
KEY COMPETENCE: AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
With our high-quality parts for vehicles, we offer solutions in the fields of safety, energy-saving, and driving comfort. Our bodyshell components include brackets, hinge reinforcements, diagonal braces and wheel arches, axle and damper supports, crash boxes and bulkhead plates. Our suspension arms, consoles, struts, and supports for dampers and sensors contribute to the equipment of vehicles, and vehicle engines and gearboxes are enhanced by our moulded components such as mounts, latches, belt guards, and gear levers. Our range is rounded off by instrument panels, seat adjusters and locking mechanisms, fittings, and footrests for vehicle interiors.
E-MOBILITY AND AUTONOMOUS DRIVING
We see these two areas as simultaneous challenges and opportunities, since a larger number of components are needed such as holders for batteries, various supports and flanges, and sensor parts. In our process and product development departments, these production lines - which will be increasingly important in the future - are already things of everyday life.
